That being said, I love the CET (Canik Enhanced Trigger) and the Rival comes with that. But it looks like the rival loses rear sights with an optic as well. Canik Mete SFX- my brand new canik had multiple issues with the slide not returning to its normal position in the first 100 rounds. I field stripped the weapon to verify the spring was in place and everything looked normal. Was using winchester 115gr fmj training rounds.

The only way to make the shield a better shooter is to install an apex trigger kit. The apex trigger kit for the m&p shield is the best micro pistol trigger in existence but it's $169 where the canik trigger is free.Edit: To answer your question, no. I would not bet my life on a Canik or any sort of clone.
